Our hiring challenges lie in the skillsets available in the labour pool. We focus on IT consultancy and staff augmentation. Sometimes the skillsets required are not readily available in Belize. Even though we provide training, some talent doubt themselves and don’t take the challenge of learning new technologies.
We also encounter challenges with individuals expecting compensation that is not feasible for Belize. This stems from some US companies directly hiring contractors and helping them avoid the tax system.
Subject: Industry Observations and Proposed Areas for Development
Dear Host
I wanted to share some candid observations that have surfaced regarding a portion of the workforce we’ve been engaging with. We’re noticing several challenges, particularly among younger team members, that are impacting overall performance and long-term stability.
Some key concerns include:
* A general lack of open-mindedness and discipline
* Limited accountability and underdeveloped work ethics
* Gaps in essential skills such as reading and comprehension, despite strong verbal communication
* A noticeable need for foundational professional development
To move forward effectively, I believe it’s critical for us to explore structured **skills gap training** that targets these areas. Additionally, as we work to stabilize the industry, it’s important that we establish consistent standards and expectations across the board.
I’d also recommend forming a **common working group or forum** that promotes open, honest dialogue and collaboration between stakeholders. This would allow us to align better on best practices, share feedback, and collectively raise the bar for performance and accountability in the space.
We offer more advanced trainings for specific jobs available in the US and European job markets. We find that there is a mixed bag of contractors that have confidence in learning new skills. Sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn’t.
I was not provided with much documnentation in my area. I had to use my experience as an IT professional to tackle issues with these new tools and systems we supported.
Role base training- CX Serv, Sales Training, Soft Skills, Leadership Training, Time Management,
External Training- PowerBI, Power Query, Conflict Resolution, AML training, SQL
If you were invited to a technical training programme with international certification lasting 6 weeks, one week involves a full bootcamp, would you join this programme?

Industry becoming too Saturated. Agents easily leave a call center and get accepted to another one.
